The Magical Mystery Tour has begun. Today the Magic Bus transported me away from Kokomo Island and I boarded a plane for… hummmm… if I told you where I landed, that would give too much away. So here’s a hint. If you recognize this skyline then you will know where I am.
If you recognize it… shhhhhhhh! Don’t give it away yet. You’ll spoil it.
I suppose I shouldn’t hype this one too much. I mean… “Magical Mystery Tour” sounds like something unusual or extraordinary. And it isn’t. The upcoming Ho Chi Minh Trail Ride through Laos is one of those “once in a lifetime” adventures… but not this one.
So… why didn’t I name this adventure something else? Well, first of all, I like the Beatles. When I first thought about a title, the song was playing:
“The Magical Mystery Tour…
Is coming to take you away.”
I also needed to keep what I was up to a secret. So a “Mystery tour” seemed to make sense. The reason for the secret is I’m keeping it a surprise for someone. It’s not really that big of a deal, but the idea is putting a smile on my face and I hope it puts a smile on my friend’s face too.
I suppose it’s all a bit silly but I’m hiding this by going incognito… disguise and all. Here’s the disguise:
I’m not sure if that’s enough of a disguise. I mean… just putting on a pair of bug-eyed sunglasses may not be enough. I’m sure those of you who know me will recognize me right off. And for those of you that don’t know me… no, I’m not father time. Here’s a hint: In my youth, I was part of a “garage band.”
That’s all for now. The adventure doesn’t start until tomorrow. So since tomorrow will be Day 1, I guess you can call this Day 0… Day oh.. day-a-a-a-oh.
